IWOBI 2018 will be held in San Carlos, Costa Rica.
Costa Rica has two international airports, San José (SJO) and Liberia (LIR). SJO is recommended, since more transportation options are available.
San José is about three hours from San Carlos by car/bus. The Organizing Committee will offer the following transportation services:
Cartago - San José - TEC San Carlos
Tuesday 17th
Leaves at 08:00 from TEC Cartago, with stops in: San Pedro 8:45am, San José Center 9am, Airport 10am
Another bus will be available at the airport from17:30 to 18:30, leaving at 18:30 towards La Fortuna.
Wednesday 18th
Several buses will leave at 07:00 from La Fortuna, the surroundings of the Arenal Volcano, hotels, La Fortuna main park (in front of the Church), arriving at the venue at 08:30
Buses will leave at 16:00 from TEC San Carlos to the social event at Hotel Los Lagos
Thursday 19th
Several buses will leave at 07:00 from La Fortuna, the surroundings of the Arenal Volcano, hotels, La Fortuna main park (in front of the Church), arriving at the venue at 08:30
Buses will leave at 17:30 from TEC San Carlos to the cocktail and dinner at Hotel Manoa
Friday 20th
Several buses will leave at 07:00 from La Fortuna, the surroundings of the Arenal Volcano, hotels, La Fortuna main park (in front of the Church), arriving at the venue at 08:30
Buses will leave at 19:00 from TEC San Carlos to the hotels in La Fortuna
If you are unable to use one of the transportations provided by the organization, you can get to San Carlos by taxi or bus, with your hotel’s address.
Additionally, transportation from La Fortuna hotels to the Conference Venue will be offered daily (free of charge).
